Sending out a huge thank you to Borderland Co-op for donating all the hot dogs and buns for our bike rodeo hot lunch put on by MacLeod SCC. They were delicious!
Caring Communities donated $300 towards bike helmets for students without them at our bike rodeo. It takes a village to raise a child and we are sure glad that Caring Communities is part of our village.
So many thanks to send out to everyone that was involved in our bike rodeo. Everyone's dedication and support for this very important event is appreciated so very much.
We would like to extend a great big thank you to our SCC members and their team of volunteers who cooked up all our hot dogs for our lunch on Bike Rodeo day at MacLeod.
Thank you to Officer Brace and Officer Grouchy for assisting at our bike rodeo on Friday, May 27th. Taking the time to help educate our students and keep them safe is appreciated by all of us in the community!
Congratulations to Mrs. Lana McCormac of MacLeod Elementary School who will be featured in an upcoming issue of the Saskatchewan's Teachers' Federation bulletin in celebration of her remarkable accomplishments as an amazing teacher, community member and staff member.
MacLeod Elementary School hosted a Family Engagement Event on Friday, April 1st. Parents were invited to a Family TJ’s Pizza Hot Lunch and Ukraine Fundraiser! Our parents pre-ordered pizzas for their family. We set up tables and chairs in our Gym for 350 people as well as the Library. We covered tables in blue and yellow tablecloth’s and centrepieces. We had moms, dads, grandparents and siblings join us for lunch! What engagement! We had between 700-800 members of our school community in attendance! After enjoying pizza together, families toured our school and classrooms. Our school was filled to capacity and we loved every minute of it! Everyone was so happy to be together and it was a fabulous way to end the week!
MacLeod Elementary School wrapped up our One School One Book event with a fun lemonade themed Family Literacy event. Our book for One School One Book was the Lemonade Wars. Mrs. Cole set up the gym for a lemonade themed Makerspace. There was tic tac toe, creating a lemonade stand station, creating a bookmark, a lemon flavored cupcake and have a glass of lemonade station, an easy peasy lemon squeezy challenge as well as a couple of challenges with real lemons.
Thank you to all of our Holiday Feast sponsors. MacLeod Elementary School is very thankful for the delicious food.
