As we welcome students, staff and families back to school, Provincial Students' Day (Sept 1) is a good opportunity to issue a reminder about school-zone safety. We are encouraging all communities to pay close attention as our roads, walkways and school zones get busier with returning students and staff.

We had a dedicated bunch of grade 4 & 5 students participate in the performance of Joust a Medieval Musical. All the rehearsing paid off and they did a wonderful job at our evening performance under the direction of Mrs. Sandra Poole and Mrs. Lana McCormac.

MacLeod did a morning assembly beginning with Land Acknowledgement and some amazing Indigenous dance videos and a video featuring two of their students who were involved in a nation wide virtual Orff performance and the only students to represent Saskatchewan! It was a wonderful day of learning!

We had a fabulous turnout for our recent Welcome To Kindergarten Bubbles & Books Family Pop in event! It was so nice to have parents and their adorable, almost Kindergarteners join us for some play and exploration! Mrs. McMullen set up some fun stations complete with a unique table top sign up sheet! Everyone left with a bag complete with bubbles and a book sponsored by our fabulous SCC!

On Friday, May 27th MacLeod Elementary School hosted it’s first Bike Rodeo in years! It was a gorgeous day filled with sunshine, smiles, safety skills, hardworking SCC members and volunteers cheffing up hot dogs and RCMP Officers sharing street safe knowledge! The Caring Communities organization helped make the day super safe by buying new helmets for students without one! Students just loved learning bike safety skills at nine stations and most of all the Free Bike time on the track! It was a great way to end the week!
